Lavenham Blue Wool

£9.50

The Crooked House and Lavenham were built on the wealth of the wool trade.

In the 14th and 15th centuries, little Lavenham was the richest wool town in England, thanks to its highly fashionable ‘Lavenham Blue’ wool.

Today, you can have your own piece of Lavenham Blue, hand-dyed locally by Stuart Race of The Woolpatch, using natural Woad and the traditional Tudor method.

Each 20g hank includes approximately 80m of yarn. Hand-dyed so colours may vary.

We ship worldwide, with every purchase supporting the restoration and preservation of The Crooked House.
