By train from London, we recommend the frequent and direct (45-min) trains from London Liverpool Street Station to Colchester Station, followed by a pre-booked 30-min taxi from Colchester Station to The Crooked House.
By plane, we are a one-hour drive from London Stansted Airport and a two-hour drive from both London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airports.
By car, our postcode is CO10 9PR and there are three car parks in Lavenham, all just a short walk from The Crooked House. We are a two-hour drive from central London.

If you’re looking for accommodation, Lavenham has two hotels in the village, along with a number of holiday cottages available on AirBnb.
The whole village is small and walkable, so wherever you choose to book, you’ll only be a short stroll to The Crooked House on the High Street!

The Crooked House is surrounded by wonderful independent shops, tearooms and galleries, along with a range of historic pubs and restaurants.
In the nearby Market Place, Lavenham Guildhall (National Trust) and Little Hall Museum are open to the public, and the whole village (featured in the Harry Potter films) is a joy to explore.
