Guided by the Crooked Men, you’ll meet wool merchants, weavers, witches and even a few ghosts, as we time travel together through six centuries and four historic rooms.

Please note that due to the steep steps up to and inside The Crooked House, unfortunately this experience is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. We are also unable to admit children under 18 years-old, due to the fragile and historic interiors of The Crooked House. Before booking, please read our full terms and conditions.

Alongside the times bookable below, we host additional house tours for Historic Houses Members. These must be booked direct through the Historic Houses website.
1. Guests are requested to arrive outside The Crooked House 10 minutes before the stated start time, as this is a theatrical experience and we are unable to admit latecomers.
2. The Crooked House does not have a cloakroom, so please do not bring luggage, suitcases, bikes or other large items.
3. Throughout your visit, mind your step! The Crooked House is an ancient building with uneven floors and steep stairs. As such, The Crooked House Story is unfortunately not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
4. Beware flames and fragile objects - look but don’t touch! Due to the historic and fragile interiors of The Crooked House, we are unfortunately unable to admit anyone under 18 years-old.
5. No photos, videos or the use of phones inside The Crooked House. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be swiftly removed, with no refund provided.
